Senators Get Brutal News on Josh Norris Injury
When Josh Norris left the game injured on the weekend, prayers went up around the Ottawa Senators fanbase that he would not be out of the lineup for very long. Unfortunately, those prayers weren't answered, as we've now heard that the star center will be out for a significant period of time with a mid-body injury.
Travis Green tells media in Nashville, per @TSN1200:

Anton Forsberg starts tonight against the Predators.
Josh Norris is out for a 'few weeks' with an injury.
Ridly Greig will play tonight, despite not partaking in the morning skate.
Head coach Travis Green says Norris will be out for "a few weeks", which is not very specific, nor encouraging for Sens fans.
It's terrible timing for Ottawa, who have moved into the unfamiliar and lofty status (for them) of third place in the Atlantic Division on the strength of a four-game win streak.
Norris is the Sens' second-leading goal scorer, finding the net 19 times in 50 games this season. But after a pair of hits from the Minnesota Wild's Jakob Lauko and Declan Chisholm late in the third period Saturday night, he left the ice bent over in obvious pain.
This isn't Norris's first encounter with the injury bug, of course. He played in just 50 games last year and only eight contests the season before, leaving him unable to really build upon his 35-goal campaign in his sophomore season in 2021-22.
The Senators' need to add a forward will now be escalated, and we brought you a report earlier today of two players they've got on their radar.
