St. Louis Blues Sign Young Defenseman To Multi-Year Extension
The St. Louis Blues have made a move, as they have signed defenseman Tyler Tucker to a two-year, $1.85 million contract extension.

Tucker, 24, has played in 20 games this season with the Blues, where he has two goals, four points, 36 hits, and 30 penalty minutes. Overall, he has been a solid depth defender for the Blues this campaign, and he has now landed this nice new extension because of it.
Tucker has also appeared in 19 games this season with the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds. During them, he has recorded four goals, six assists, 10 points, 39 penalty minutes, and a plus-6 rating.
Tucker was selected by the Blues with the 200th overall pick of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. In 72 career NHL games with St. Louis, he has four goals,10 points, 103 penalty minutes, 150 hits, and a minus-9 rating.
Overall, Tucker has been trending in the right direction this season, so it not too surprising to see the Blues opt to sign him to a contract extension early. It will be fascinating to see how the right-shot defenseman performs with the Central Division club after earning this new contract from here.
