Stars Rumors: Dallas Not Finished Making Trades

The Dallas Stars recently made a big move, as they acquired forward Mikael Granlund and defenseman Cody Ceci from the San Jose Sharks. With this, they strengthened their roster, but they are not expected to be done yet

In his most recent 32 Thoughts column for Sportsnet, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman wrote that the Stars are likely not done making trades because they still have roughly $5 million of LTIR cap space. In addition, he specifically noted that the Stars could look to continue to improve the right side of their defense.

It is not too surprising to hear that the Stars are expected to make more moves. They are viewed as one of the top contenders in the NHL, and they have cap space to add to their current group. Adding another impactful defenseman, especially with Miro Heiskanen out month-to-month, would be incredibly smart for the Central Division squad.

The trade market has several defensemen who could be on the move before the deadline, so it will be intriguing to see what the Stars do from here.
