3 Potential Offseason Trade Destinations For Sharks' Mario Ferraro


San Jose Sharks defenseman Mario Ferraro was talked about in the rumor mill often leading up to the 2025 NHL trade deadline. However, the Sharks ended up keeping the left-shot defenseman for the remainder of the season.

However, with the Sharks rebuilding, it is likely that Ferraro will once again generate trade interest once the offseason. Due to this, let's discuss three teams who could look to acquire him this summer. 

Calgary Flames

The Flames could be a club to watch when it comes to Ferraro this offseason. It is no secret that the left side of their defense could use a boost, and Ferraro would fit in their top four because of it. In addition, the 26-year-old is a young enough where he could a nice fit for the Flames as they continue their retool. 

Colorado Avalanche 

The Avalanche were connected to Ferraro leading up to the deadline, and it would not be surprising in the slightest if they targeted him again this offseason. He would be a solid addition to the left side of their defense and would give them another steady defensive defenseman to work with. 

Ottawa Senators 

The Senators are another team that have been connected to Ferraro in the past. When looking at their current defense, they could certainly use somebody like him, so it would make sense if they targeted him. He could slot nicely on their bottom pairing and would give them another solid option for their penalty kill.
