3 Potential Trade Destinations For Islanders' Kyle Palmieri

The New York Islanders currently do not hold a playoff spot with the NHL trade deadline being less than a week away. Due to this, there is certainly a chance they will be sellers at the deadline Pending unrestricted free agent Kyle Palmieri is one of their top trade candidates, so let's look at three teams who could look to acquire him now.

Minnesota Wild

The Wild recently acquired forward Gustav Nyquist from the Nashville Predators, but they should not be done yet. It is clear that they could still use a boost at the right wing position, specifically in their middle six. When looking at Minnesota's current lineup, Palmieri could be a strong addition to their second line with Frederick Gaudreau and Mats Zuccarello. Thus, they could be a team to watch when it comes to Palmieri.

Los Angeles Kings

The Kings are on the hunt for help at right wing, and Palmieri would give them just that. He would be a clear option for their second line with Alex Turcotte and Anze Kopitar but also could slot down on the third line. In either scenario, the Kings' offense would improve with a Palmieri addition, so they are standing out as a prime potential landing spot.

Columbus Blue Jackets

The Blue Jackets are red-hot and improving their playoff chances because of it. It is clear that they could use another top-six forward on their roster, and they are in a position to take a shot on a veteran like Palmieri because of it. Not only would he give them more offense, but he also would give them another forward with playoff experience and good leadership skills.
