Insider Provides Big Update On Maple Leafs' Calle Jarnkrok
According to NHL insider Chris Johnston, Toronto Maple Leafs forward Calle Jarnkrok is expected to return to the lineup for the Original Six club's March 3 matchup against the San Jose Sharks.
It sounds like Calle Järnkrok will rejoin the #leafs lineup tomorrow night for the first time all season. Could wind up being like a trade deadline addition for them now that he's back to health.

Jarnkrok has yet to play his first game of the 2024-25 season after undergoing groin and sports hernia surgery back in November. Now, based on Johnston's report, it appears that this is going to change.
Jarnkrok getting back in the lineup is good news for the Maple Leafs. When healthy, the 33-year-old forward is a solid part of the Maple Leafs' roster. Due to the veteran's ability to play both down the middle and on the wing, he can fit virtually anywhere in the Maple Leafs' lineup when healthy. This helps make him a valuable part of their depth.
Jarnkrok played in 52 games this past season with the Maple Leafs, where he had 10 goals, 21 points, and a plus-16 rating. This was after he had 20 goals and 39 points in 73 games with the Maple Leafs during the 2022-23 season. He will now look to continue to make an impact now that he is returning to the lineup from here.
In 699 career games over 11 seasons split between the Nashville Predators, Seattle Kraken, Calgary Flames, and Maple Leafs, Jarnkrok has 136 goals, 165 assists, 301 points, and a plus-70 rating.
