LA Kings Acquire Andrei Kuzmenko From Philadelphia Flyers

According to NHL insider Pierre LeBrun, the Philadelphia Flyers have traded forward Andrei Kuzmenko to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a 2027 third-round pick.

This is the second time this season where Kuzmenko has been traded. Back on Jan. 30, he was traded to the Flyers in the deal that brought Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee to the Calgary Flames. Now, he is heading to LA, where he will give the Kings another right-shot winger.

In 44 games this season, Kuzmenko has six goals and 20 points. The 29-year-old winger was quite solid during his short stint with the Flyers, however, as he had two goals and five points in seven games. Now, he will look to stay hot offensively as a member of the Kings from here.

Overall, this is a low-risk move for the Kings. It is no secret that they have been on the hunt for another skilled forward, and they have now gotten one in Kuzmenko. He should slot nicely in their middle six and will be an option for their power play because of his offensive skill.

The Flyers, on the other hand, have landed a third-round pick for a pending unrestricted free agent they weren't planning on keeping around. Overall, it's a good trade for both parties.
