Habs News: Ivan Demidov and Kaiden Guhle Updates Fuel Playoff Hopes

Get ready, Habs fans—there’s a lot to be excited about right now with the Montreal Canadiens! We recently started hearing the hype surrounding Canadiens prospect Ivan Demidov, and now, things are heating up even more. 

According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, GM Kent Hughes and the Canadiens are reportedly working hard to bring Demidov to Montreal this season. If that happens, it could be a game-changer for the Habs.



But wait—there’s more.

Imagine if, on top of Demidov’s potential arrival, Kaiden Guhle also makes a surprise return to the lineup. 

According to Renaud Lavoie, that might not be a pipe dream after all. Lavoie dropped a bombshell, revealing that Guhle could, against all odds, be back on the ice this season. And Kent Hughes has confirmed it—with one intriguing condition.


"According to insider Renaud Lavoie, Kaiden Guhle could be ready to return within the next three weeks, just as the team enters the final stretch of its season.

This is excellent news given the circumstances, as his recovery could have taken much longer."

Lavoie reports that the young defenseman could be back in action within three weeks, just as the Canadiens hit the home stretch of their season.

Hughes, however, added a twist: Guhle’s return hinges on the team still being in the playoff race. 



With the possibility of Demidov joining the squad and Guhle making a heroic comeback, the stage is set for an unforgettable finish to the season in Montreal.
