NHL Free Agency: 3 Potential Offseason Suitors For Canucks' Brock Boeser
Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser is one of the top pending unrestricted free agents who could hit the market on July 1. If the Canucks are unable to get him signed to a new contract by then, he would be an incredibly popular free-agent target for teams looking to add more scoring.
Due to this, let’s discuss three clubs that could look to sign Boeser if he becomes a free agent on July 1 now.
Los Angeles Kings
It is no secret that the Kings are in need of a top-six right winger, so if Boeser hits the market, they will be a team to watch. They have been connected to him in the past, and he would give their second line and power play a nice boost if signed.
Minnesota Wild
Similar to the Kings, the Wild have often been linked to Boeser, and it makes sense. They could use more skill on the wing, and the Burnsville, Minnesota native would provide them with just that if signed. Thus, it would not be surprising if the Central Division club ended up being interested in bringing the hometown kid to Minnesota this summer.
New York Islanders
The Islanders could be a team to watch if Boeser ends up hitting this free-agent market this summer. The Metropolitan Division could use another scorer at right winger and would serve as an upgrade over Anthony Duclair in their top six. He also, of course, has played with Islanders star Bo Horvat, which could make him an appealing target for New York.
