NHL Injury Updates: Blackhawks' Jason Dickinson Done For The Season

While speaking to reporters, including the Chicago Sun-Times' Ben Pope, Chicago Blackhawks head coach Anders Sorensen announced that forward Jason Dickinson will be out for the remainder of the season due to a wrist injury.

Dickinson last played for the Blackhawks during their March 22 contest against the St. Louis Blues. Now, this will be his final game of the season with this rough injury update from the Blackhawks.

Dickinson, 29, appeared in 59 games this season with the Blackhawks, where he had seven goals, nine assists, 16 points, 102 hits, and a minus-11 rating. This was after he set career highs with 22 goals and 35 points in 82 games with the Blackhawks this past season. This impressive season played a role in Dickinson landing a two-year, $8.5 million contract extension with the Blackhawks back on Jan. 16, 2024.

Dickinson is one of the Blackhawks' key veteran forwards, so they will certainly miss him while he is out for the remainder of the season. They will now need to adjust without him from here.

Dickinson was selected by the Dallas Stars with the 29th overall pick of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. In 502 career NHL games over 10 seasons split between the Dallas Stars, Vancouver Canucks, and Blackhawks, Dickinson has 68 goals, 87 assists, 155 points, and 784 hits.
