NHL Trade Rumors: 3 Offseason Trade Destinations For Ducks' Trevor Zegras

Leading up to the 2025 NHL trade deadline, Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras was considered among the top trade candidates in the league. However, in the end, the Ducks did not move the 23-year-old forward.

Yet, when noting that Zegras' name has come up in the rumor mill for multiple seasons now, the possibility of him being dealt during the offseason cannot be ruled out. Due to this, let's discuss three clubs who could look to acquire him this summer now.

New York Islanders

The Islanders have viewed as a possible landing spot for Zegras in the past, and it would make sense if they made a push for them this offseason. After dealing Brock Nelson to the Colorado Avalanche, they could use another top-six center. In addition, the Islanders desperately need young talented forwards, and Zegras would give them just that.

Montreal Canadiens

The Canadiens are expected to be busy this offseason as they look to continue to head in the right direction. Bringing in a forward like Zegras to their top six could help them on that front, so they could be a club to watch in the sweepstakes. He also is young enough where he would fit quite nicely into their group.

Detroit Red Wings

The Red Wings also stand out as a possible suitor for Zegras. When looking at their roster, it is apparent that need another top-six center, and Zegras would give them that. He could slot nicely as their second-line center and also work on their power play.
