Report: 4 Teams Named That Were In On Josh Norris Before Sabres Trade
One of the most notable "hockey trades" on deadline day was the Dylan Cozens for Josh Norris swap. Cozens is off to a rousing start with the Ottawa Senators, with two goals and three points in his first three games. And Josh Norris created a goal off a great hustle play in his second game with the Buffalo Sabres.

The trade was a tough one to swallow, however, for the 25-year-old Norris, as insider Elliotte Friedman noted how distressed he looked, even heading into the rink for his Buffalo debut. "Boy, he looked devastated. I felt terrible looking at Norris there." And his teammate Brady Tkachuk was near tears at losing his good friend as well.

But Friedman added that Norris, despite all his injury troubles over the years, had a lot of admirers leading up to the deadline, as he noted on NHL Network that at least four other teams were considering dealing for him.
Ottawa had Josh Norris out there and there were a lot of teams looking at that. Vancouver was, Nashville was, Seattle was and St. Louis was. And I'm sure there were other teams.
The Vancouver Canucks, of course, had been looking to bolster themselves up the middle after trading JT Miller, and dealing with the disappointing play all season of Elias Pettersson.
The Seattle Kraken have needed a boost on offense for a couple of seasons now, and they, too, were willing to bet on Norris staying healthy. The Predators had an odd deadline, taking on Michael Bunting's contract for a couple of seasons. A Norris addition would have been far more impactful for the team.
The Blues were thinking they had a shot at the playoffs for a few days there heading to March 7th, but losing Colton Parayko just before the deadline probably ended their attempts to make a big trade addition like Norris.
