Report: Insider Links Bruins' Brad Marchand To Kings
The Los Angeles Kings have emerged as a potential destination for Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand, according to NHL insider Pierre LeBrun.
While Marchand has repeatedly stated his desire to finish his career in Boston, the Bruins’ front office is reportedly listening to trade inquiries as the team struggles to stay in the playoff race. TSN’s Chris Johnston reports that general manager Don Sweeney is open to moving the veteran winger, along with other key players like Charlie Coyle, Pavel Zacha, and Brandon Carlo.
With Boston dealing with injuries to Hampus Lindholm and Charlie McAvoy and losing eight of their last 10 games, the organization could look to shake up its roster and capitalize on Marchand’s value.

Former NHL coach Bruce Boudreau believes Marchand would be a perfect fit for the Kings, citing his ability to bring a winning pedigree to a contending team. "He’s a winner," Boudreau said on NHL Tonight.
"I could see him going to LA and playing on a line with [Anze] Kopitar, a little bit of that Bergeron chemistry again."
The Kings, currently sitting third in the Pacific Division, have been aggressive in strengthening their roster for a deep playoff run.
With Boston potentially willing to retain salary, Los Angeles has emerged as a strong candidate to acquire Marchand, who has 21 goals and 47 points in 61 games this season.

Moving their longest-tenured player and last remaining link to the 2011 Stanley Cup team would mark a huge turning point for the franchise.
While discussions remain preliminary, LeBrun reports that the Kings are among several contenders monitoring the situation.
As Marchand said last month, "I’ve always planned on playing here my entire career… but we’ll see how it plays out."
