Report: Vancouver Canucks working on Elias Pettersson trade
The drama continues in Vancouver.
Reports have surfaced leading up to Friday's trade deadline that the Vancouver Canucks are re-engaged in trade talks to move Elias Pettersson. His confidence is shot, he's getting annoyed with all the negative attention, and from the sounds of it, GM Patrik Allvin is working hard to facilitate a move.
According to Elite Prospect’s Cam Robinson, the Vancouver Canucks are again listening on offers on forward Elias Pettersson:I'm hearing that Vancouver is once again listening on Elias Pettersson ahead of tomorrow's deadline.

But teams kept calling. In previous days and weeks, the club had told them that they were holding Pettersson for now and waiting to see how things went with Miller gone. However, it appears that they are more open to actively listening to see if there’s a rich enough return to make it worthwhile. - via Robinson.
Pettersson doesn't own any trade protection. He's signed through the 2031-32 season at $11.6 million, so it's very likely the Canucks will need to retain some portion of Pettersson's salary in order to get a team to budge.
The New York Islanders are a team to watch, as are the Anaheim Ducks, San Jose Sharks, and Columbus Blue Jackets.
