TRADE: Winnipeg Jets & Florida Panthers Complete Goalie Swap
The Winnipeg Jets have acquired goalie Chris Driedger from the Florida Panthers in exchange for goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen.

Driedger, 30, did not play a game with the Panthers this season before this trade. Instead, he was with their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers. In 20 games in the AHL this season, Driedger has a 10-6-4 record, a .878 save percentage, and a 2.97 goals-against average.
While Driedger has yet to play an NHL game this season, he has does have experience in the sport's most competitive league. In 67 career NHL games over seven seasons split between the Ottawa Senators, Panthers, and Seattle Kraken, he has a 31-24-5 record, a .917 save percentage, and a 2.45 goals-against average.
Kahkonen, 28, has primarily played in the AHL this season, too. In 22 games this season with the Manitoba Moose, he had a 6-14-0 record, a .885 save percentage, and a 3.29 goals-against average. He also made one appearance with the Colorado Avalanche this season, where he allowed four goals on 16 shots.
In 140 career NHL games split between the Minnesota Wild, San Jose Sharks, New Jersey Devils, and Avalanche, Kahkonen has a 49-68-15 record, a .898 save percentage, and a 3.34 goals-against average.
