Vegas Golden Knights Sign Adin Hill To Big Contract Extension

The Vegas Golden Knights have made a big move, as they have signed goaltender Adin Hill to a six-year, $37.5 million contract extension. Starting next season, he will have a $6.25 million AAV.

Hill was the top pending unrestricted free agent goaltender who could have hit the market on July 1. However, with the Golden Knights extending him, he will now be staying in Vegas for a long time.

Hill, 28, has appeared in 39 games this season with the Golden Knights, where he has a 24-11-4 record, a 2.53 goals-against average, and a .906 save percentage. This was after he had a 19-12-2 record, a .909 save percentage, and a 2.71 goals-against average in 35 games with the Golden Knights last season.

Hill was also a significant part of the Golden Knights' 2023 Stanley Cup winning team, as he had an 11-4 record, 2.17 goals-against average, and a .932 save percentage in 16 playoff games that year.

Overall, it is understandable that the Golden Knights have decided to sign Hill to this long-term extension. He has been a big part of their roster over the last three seasons, and he will now be sticking around for much longer because of it.

In 175 career NHL games split between the Arizona Coyotes, San Jose Sharks, and Golden Knights, Hill has an 88-62-12 record, a 2.65 goals-against average, a .909 save percentage, and 11 shutouts.
