NHL Rumors: One Flyers Goaltender May Be Leaving NHL
Aleksei Kolosov’s time with the Philadelphia Flyers may be coming to an end, as reports suggest the 23-year-old goaltender is expected to return to Belarus instead of joining the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms for their playoff run.
According to William James of Philadelphia Hockey Now, Anthony SanFilippo reported that Kolosov is likely heading back home, with Belarusian sources telling Elite Prospects he could rejoin the KHL as early as this offseason.
“This may have been the last time you see Kolosov,” SanFilippo said on the Snow the Goalie podcast.
We’re never gonna see Aleksei Kolosov again after this.

Kolosov, whose rights are held by Dynamo Minsk in the KHL, is still under contract with the Flyers for one more season.
However, after a difficult rookie year in North America—posting a 5-9-1 record with a 3.59 goals-against average and an .867 save percentage over 17 NHL games—his value has dipped significantly.
The Flyers are unlikely to receive more than a late-round pick if they attempt to trade him, especially given his apparent reluctance to report to the AHL.

With the Flyers' season now concluded, the team is expected to clarify Kolosov's status in the coming days.
If he does return to the KHL, Philadelphia’s goaltending logjam may ease slightly, but the broader issues in net remain unresolved heading into the offseason.
