NHL Trade Rumors: 3 San Jose Sharks Offseason Trade Candidates

It was another tough year for the San Jose Sharks, but that was expected. They are still in the middle of their rebuild and will likely be in for another busy offseason because of it. It is likely that they will make some trades this offseason, so let's look at three players they could look to move.

Mario Ferraro

Ferraro will certainly be a Shark to keep an eye on this summer in the trade market. The left-shot defenseman generated plenty of trade buzz leading up to this year's trade deadline, but a move did not come to fruition. Yet, when noting that he is entering the final season of his deal in 2025-26, he could very well be flipped for a nice return.

Alexander Wennberg

Wennberg is a veteran forward who the Sharks could listen to offers for this offseason. The 30-year-old would be a nice addition for a team looking for help in their middle six and on their special-team units. In 76 games this season, the 2013 first-round pick has 10 goals and 35 points.

Vincent Desharnais

Desharnais could be somebody who the Sharks are open to moving this summer. The 6-foot-7 defenseman could generate some interest from teams looking for more size and depth on their blueline. In 51 games this season split between the Vancouver Canucks, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Sharks, he has three assists, 14 hits, and 15 blocks.
