Nikita Zadorov Might Be Looking To Get Himself Traded From Bruins

This has been a very bad season for the Boston Bruins and players are clearly frustrated. The most vocal of the group has been Nikita Zadorov, who has repeatedly called out his teammates. I know it isn't the team Zadorov signed up for when signing with the Bruins, but calling out your teammates in the media is one way to either get yourself traded or lose the respect of your teammates.

Zadorov hasn't been great this season, so calling out Jeremy Swayman and the rest of the team doesn't make too much sense. He is also making $5 million AAV for a handful of more years.

The callouts that stand out are saying "everything goes in...it's embarrassing," and "the other teams are just hungrier than ours. They want to win more, that's the bottom line. We're just not hard on the puck. We're easy to play against."

The more Zadorov calls out the team who sold at the deadline and has a number of injuries, the worse it looks. I doubt the players who are in the lineup aren't trying or working hard enough. The problem here is that the 29-year-old has five more years at $5 million AAV.

He may have a no-trade clause next year and then a modified no-trade clause through until the end of his contract, but at this rate, I can see him accepting a trade to get out of the Bruins who haven't looked good this season, to not only separate himself from the room that he isn't likely in the good graces of, but to go to a team with a little more hope in winning.
