Penguins Rumors: 3 Potential Free-Agent Destinations For Matt Grzelcyk

It was another rough year for the Pittsburgh Penguins, but defenseman Matt Grzelcyk was one of their bright spots. The Massachusetts native had a strong campaign with the Penguins, setting new career highs with 39 assists and 40 points in 82 games.

After a season like this, Grzelcyk will surely generate interest in free agency this summer if the Penguins can't re-sign. Let's look at three specific teams who could pursue him.

Columbus Blue Jackets

The Blue Jackets could be a team to watch if Grzelcyk hits the free-agent market this offseason. They could use a bit more offense from the point, and this will be even more of the case if they lose pending UFA Ivan Provorov this summer.
