Penguins Rumors: Tristan Jarry Headed for Offseason Buy Out

The Pittsburgh Penguins are expected to blow it up this offseason, and it could all start with buying out Tristan Jarry once the Stanley Cup Playoffs conclude.

Jarry, 29, is signed through the 2027-28 season at $5.3 million AAV. He holds a 12-team no-trade clause, which doesn't matter at all, because of his production and is remaining contract, he's essentially untradeable at this point. All signs point to a buy out, with the breakdown courtesy of PuckPedia:

Certainly lots to think about for President Kyle Dubas, and with limited options to make changes, this could be the avenue he settles on. Jarry posted a 16-12-6 record with the Penguins last year, and in his time spent in the AHL, went 6-5-1 with a .908 save percentage. A far cry then his production early on into his Penguins career.

As far as potential landing spots, the Edmonton Oilers could reshape their crease this summer and could give Jarry a look, same goes for the Chicago Blackhawks, Carolina Hurricanes, Philadelphia Flyers, and Seattle Kraken.

Keep an eye on the Pens, changes are coming, and Dubas has his hands full with trying to execute his plan on getting younger, and better, all at the same time.
