Breaking: PK Subban breaks his silence on anthem protests
NHL star P.K. Subban broke his silence about national anthem protests. Subban said he would never kneel during the national anthem to protest politically.
According to a report from Yahoo Sports' Greg Wyshynski, Subban was performing at a fundraiser on Tuesday night at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville, where he told the audience that he would never take a knee during the national anthem, because he has too much respect for the American flag.
Subban, who is Canadian, is considered the most prominent black player in the NHL. The Nashville Predators' team also announced they would not engage in any protests during the national anthem.
